Sponsors
We pride ourselves on providing free service to all our users worldwide. Our work would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Our sponsors support our work through a variety of funding models including:
- Collaborator funded and driven programs - some funders are actively engaged in collaborative work with our team in product testing and evaluation, curriculum development, program development, and training.
- Product or specification-driven engagements - we have also worked with organizations that are interested in ensuring that a specific set of features are integrated into the MIT App Inventor platform. Examples might include internationalization or specialized components that work with proprietary hardware or software.
- Joint proposal development and submission - we have many collaborators that come to us with proposal ideas that we jointly develop, refine, and submit in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) from private foundations or government agencies.
- In-kind contributions of products and services - Many of our programs require our outreach teams to have have access to equipment to share with schools and community organizations. Examples might include cloud processing power, phones, tablets, laptops and more.
- Event Underwriting - whether it is our annual Summit or a local, regional, or national app challenge or contest, some funders want to ensure that MIT App Inventor participates or leads specific events.
- Donorship - Some of our supporters are simply invested in our vision and want to ensure its sustainability. Large or small, these contributions support the ongoing development and outreach work of the MIT App Inventor team.
Our work would not be possible without the support of the following funders:
